hi johan, thanks for the response, i have another doubt about madonna now. i heard a remix of express yourself on the radio
and it had a verse of her song “burning up” “dance and sing get up and do your thing”, along the song. do you know the exact name of the remix to download it??

Hi Andres, no officially released remix by Warner features that line. There was a version which fits your description, and it is from the 1989 MTV Awards, where she performed “Express Yourself” and it does have that line. I’m sure it’s on Youtube = )

also i wanted to let you know that one time iheard cindy lauper’s what’s going on on the radio,and it was slightly different from the one on the true colors album, and others oficcial versions.
on the album version the song goes..
” picket lights, BROTHER,picket sounds BROTHER don’t punish with brutality….
and the song i heard on the radio and i want the most on my collection goes
“picket lights…..picket sounds….don’t punish me with brutality”
without the BROTHER chorus..lol i hope you can tell me if this version is available.

i’m so happy to find your website, we have the same taste in music and have been thru the same thing from listening to top forty and getting albums, then found the versions are different from radio, then getting commercial singles and still different, then promos.
i have tons maxi singles and promos uploaded on rapidshare on flac lossless format. you can convert flac to wav without losing quality if compare to lossy mp3.
let me know i’ll hook everybody up here with my links. mostly are early 90′s maxi singles and promos

I just want to echo most everyone’s compliment about your efforts to keep the 80′s alive: great cross-section of tracks- both rare and commonplace!
One thing, though- I downloaded the Boy George file but was unable to access the extended version of “The Crying Game”; the single edit was OK. I’m assuming that the file was corrupted in some way. Coukd you look into this?
Also, could you post the Extended version of “Who’s that girl?”

Do you happen to know if there were remixes for the follow up single, “I’m So Happy I Can’t Stop Crying”? I could swear that I heard a different version on the radio here in Canada! But I can’t find any evidence that a remix single, commercial or otherwise exists! Do you know of one?

Hi there! As far as I know, the 4:32 instrumental version was only released on a 10″ vinyl single in the UK and on the commercial 7″ single in the US. There was also a 7:18 extended instrumental on the US 12″ single. Look out because I will be posting the “Some Kind Of Lover” 7″ single for you very soon.

I’m a big fan of 80′s & 90′s mixes and have managed to assemble a pretty big collection over the years, but I’ve found some cool stuff here that I haven’t found anywhere else (e.g. the Deee-Lite and Sinead O’Connor tracks…I haven’t listened to “You Made Me The Thief Of Your Heart” in over 10 years!!). I think Jasmin is playing safe here…writing in riddles, she is referring to the 2nd single from the Boy Toy’s 1986 album, the follow-up to the theme song from At Close Range. You know, the one that asks her father not to nag at her…hehe
